Directors to canvass election results

Directors of the Lower Brushy Creek WCID will hold a special meeting 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 12 in the conference room of the Taylor Chamber of Commerce to canvas the results of the May 2 election.
Four candidates ran for three positions on the board. The results of the vote saw incumbents Laine Holman and Allen Ray David earning re-election. Holman received 916 votes, David received 935 votes.
Mitchell Drummond received 814 votes to finish third and won a seat on the board. Mark Baudek got 691 votes, finishing fourth. The top three vote-getters were elected.
